About Me
I was raised in a traditional American household where if you got sick, you went to the doctor and took a pill.
There was no thought of “Why am I sick?” or “Is stress causing me to be sick?”
I grew up around my Granny — she was a very important person to me.
I knew she had some kind of problem — she was always bent over and had difficulty walking. She was often in pain, but never complained.
I was always aware of her fragility and difficulties in navigating the steps between the floors of her house.
It was a “mystery illness” back then - but now I know she had Post-Polio Syndrome.
I saw how my Granny wasn’t able to be helped by regular medicine. It was disappointing and painful.
My love for Granny was the beginning of my interest in helping people get better.
That was the beginning.
A few decades later, I was living in a spiritual community in New York when my roommate was diagnosed with cancer.
I was unprepared for the reality of the possibility of someone so close to me dying.
We were attending her last oncology appointment after she had completed radiation treatment for a tumor in her chest.
I held her hand as the oncologist told her, “We’ve done all we can for you; there’s nothing more to do."
And that was devastating to hear. The words echoed in my ears for days.
But — she was a fighter and was determined to not die.
She knew there were other choices available, but she had to find somebody to help her.
That’s when she sought out a pioneer in the field of natural healing, Dr. Christopher Gian Cursio.
Dr. Cursio was using iridology to diagnose the imbalance and unique detoxifying diets as treatment.
This was 1976. Way before the concept of detoxifying became a household word.
My friend worked with Dr. Cursio intensely for over a year. And she’s alive and well — 44 years later.
During this time, I became Dr. Cursio’s assistant.
What I learned from Dr. Cursio was the concept that given the right nutrition and support the body has the ability to heal itself.
On a daily basis I witnessed his patients, for whom medical treatment had failed, recover their health through his detoxifying protocols.
One day, I was going through a huge pile of papers and magazines on his desk.
I distinctly remember the moment when I picked up the catalogue for the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Dr. Cursio’s office.
From my experience of working in his office, and having seen people getting miraculously better under his care, I realized I had found my path.
I wanted to be able to help people heal using natural methods.
Over the last 35 years of my practice, my focus has shifted, and I now work with people who have complex chronic illnesses.
It’s my calling — I’m very dedicated to helping people recover their health and restore their life.
Complex illnesses take quite some time to develop. That’s the common factor in the areas I treat.
Here is what working with me looks like...
First, we discover what actually damaged your body resulting in you becoming ill — even years later.
Second, we repair your health on a cellular level.
And then, we create lasting balance to ensure your continued good health.
To achieve this requires an integrative and holistic approach.
I am a seasoned practitioner with decades of experience and have the skillset to intuit where we need to start — what tests we need to get — which methods will be most effective.
So you have the energy to live the life you want and enjoy it.
I am 100% committed to your healing journey!
